Some highlights included listening to the Achievement Hunter support team talk about their editing process and what it is like working with AH. Burnie, Gavin, Barb, and Blaine not only discussing how Million Dollars But came about and the fun they have shooting it but actually playing it. The Achievement Hunters both in their panel and during Off Topic were amazing. Lazer Team had one of the best panels content wise. Matt played some behind the scenes clips and early animation of scenes which was really fun to see. Plus they confirmed Lazer Team 2 which I'm really excited about. I think RT Podcast was what I was looking forward to the most and it did not let down. I barely kept it together at the end of Gavin or Gaggle though. Since I didn't get a ticket to Theater Mode Live in the minute before they sold out; I went to the ASMR documentary panel which was great. The quality of the doc was really high and was just really fun to watch.
I spent way too much money at the RT Store but who doesn't want awesome Lazer Team action figures?! The expo itself was really cool with lots of games being showcased. However, the highlight of the entire event was the Five Nights at Rooster Teeth setup. It was based on the Immersion episode from last year and was incredible. I didn't take a video but watch this one from YouTube. Having a special guest badge that meant we got to skip lines and get great seats was a huge perk as well.
If you ignore the Texas heat, it was fun flying out to Austin and hanging out for the weekend. I can't wait for next year.
